Unable to connect Domain Name to Existing Elementor Subscription

Almost a year ago I bought the pro version of Elementor Pro, connected the domain name and started building the site. After a few days I realized that I I should have bought the "Elementor Pro - Shop Advanced Solo," which seems to be no longer available. At that time, Elementor still had a phone number to call them. They said that I could not cancel the standard pro version or the Shop version, being too late. Now that it is time to renew again, I terminated the regular Pro version, deleted it's plug-in from Wordpress and deleted it from the Elementor subscription list. Now I am having difficuly attaching my domain name to the Elementor Pro - Shop Advanced Solo version. There seems to be no place on the Elementor website for this, nor on the Wordpress plug-ins page; I must first have the free version, then there is only a way to buy another full version. How do I connect my domaine to the existing Elementor Pro - Shop Advanced Solo version? ------ However, since this version is about to expire in 10 days, if this version is no longer worth continuing because Elementor now has something better than the shop version, --perhaps I should simply reset this shop version to manual renew, let it cancel, and just buy the better version for my on-line store. Or, would it be a waste of time to continue to try to find out how to connect my domain to and existing version that has no domain?
What do you think that Elementor now has that would outclass this old Shop version, or what is the equivalent? What would be the best, most powerful version of Elementor for someone that has only one website? What do I buy to get automatic creation of CSS code, and the AI form creation and other time saving goodies. Elementor's page with the plans they off is kind of sparse in their description, and how to combine things to get what you need. To get these extra things, will I have to buy a plan for people with multiple sights, or do they offer a plan that has these extras for a person with only one site? What ever are your opinions will be appreciated.

How to re-connect your domain to an existing Elementor Pro license

What you’re describing is usually a license activation issue, not a “domain connection” inside WordPress. Elementor Pro licenses are attached to a site URL when you activate Pro from the plugin, and you manage/clear activations in your Elementor account.

Before changing anything: take a full backup (files + DB) and confirm you can log into your Elementor account that owns the “Shop/Advanced/Solo” subscription.

  • Install/keep Elementor (free) plugin active.
  • Install Elementor Pro (the Pro plugin is what activates the license). If you don’t have the ZIP, download it from your Elementor account.
  • In WP Admin go to Elementor → License (or Elementor → Settings → License depending on version) and click Connect & Activate.
  • In your Elementor account, go to Subscriptions / Licenses / Websites and check if your license has a “connected sites” slot already used. If it is, disconnect the old URL, then activate again from WP.

Common gotchas:
  • URL mismatch: activating on staging, http vs https, or www vs non-www can consume a slot. Pick one canonical URL in WordPress Settings → General.
  • Caching/security plugins can block the connect flow—temporarily disable and retry.

Is the old “Shop” plan still worth it? What’s the equivalent now?

Elementor has renamed plans a few times; “Shop” was basically “Pro with WooCommerce features.” Current equivalents are typically Elementor Pro (1 site) tiers that include WooCommerce Builder. For a single store, you should not need a multi-site plan unless you want more activations.

The “AI form creation / AI tools” and some “extra” features can be tied to Elementor AI as an add-on, not strictly the Pro tier. The CSS generation you mention sounds like a mix of: Elementor’s CSS output + performance features (and sometimes “site settings”/global styles). Those are in Pro, but “automatic CSS code creation” isn’t usually a separate plan feature—if you mean cleaner/minified CSS, that’s more about performance plugins and hosting.

If your Shop/Solo license is expiring in 10 days and you can’t get the activation slot freed quickly, I’d either:
  • Open a ticket with Elementor to reset activations on that subscription, or
  • Let it lapse and buy the current Pro 1-site + WooCommerce plan (and add Elementor AI only if you’ll use it).

If you tell me your exact plan name as shown in your Elementor account and your site URL (www vs non-www),I can point you to the exact screen path to disconnect the old activation and re-attach it.
