Elementor is stuck on the loading screen

Nearly always a plugin conflict, a low PHP memory limit or a caching or optimisation layer minifying Elementor's scripts. Deactivate other plugins, raise memory to 256M, exclude Elementor from minification, then re-test.

There is a gap between the header and the page

Usually padding or margin on the first section, the theme's content wrapper, or an empty container Elementor added. Inspect the element in the browser to see which box owns the space, then set it to zero in Elementor or the theme customiser.

Flexbox containers only stack vertically

Containers default to a column direction. Change Direction to Row in the container's Layout tab, or nest a container for the horizontal group. Check the mobile breakpoint too, where row often needs to become column again.

White screen of death after an update

A fatal PHP error with display turned off. Enable WP_DEBUG_LOG, read the last error in wp-content/debug.log, then rename the offending plugin or theme folder over SFTP to recover the site.

The contact form does not send email

WordPress mail without SMTP is dropped by most hosts. Install an SMTP plugin, connect a real mailbox or transactional service, and add SPF and DKIM records for the sending domain.

The site is slow with Elementor

Large images, too many widgets per page, no page caching and render-blocking scripts. Convert images to WebP, enable caching, load Elementor assets on demand, and remove unused add-ons.

The mobile layout looks different from the editor

Responsive values are set per breakpoint and hidden elements still load. Switch the editor to the mobile view, check widths and padding on each container, and use Hide On rather than deleting duplicates.
