Responsive mode problems Elementor Header & Footer plugin

I've created a header and footer using Elementor Header & Footer plugin. When I use the responsive mode to change viewports and then make changes for example to tablet (such as change header font colour),these changes effect desktop and mobile as well. Why is this happening?

Really grateful for any advice.
