Not full breadcrumb trail

I have activated Breadcrumbs in my developing Elementor Pro web site but although it displays it only shows the Home page and the current page. All pages in between don;t show. eg going from Home to a to B to C only shows up on the breadcrumbs as Home > C. How do I get it to show Home > A > B > C.
