How to change 'meta' date format for post on elementor's post widget?

Hi there,

as suggested by the title,
Do note I have used the other post widgets and am able to control the date meta.
However for this particular widget I seem to be unable to control it as it doesn't seem to show any form of control for the date format. Please see screenshot for example.

Current date meta format:
Month, day, Year

Is there a way for me to easily display just the 'Month, Year' for this?

The solution if you don't want to use a WP function file is to create your own post loop.

I found this post while wondering the same question. It's pulling that data from the general WordPress date settings in Dashboard>Settings>General. So you can use a custom setting there like "F Y" to get "January 2020".

I have the same issue. Wordpress date format is set to M Y but the post widget from elementor displays full date as day month year. How can i amend the post widget to reflect that of the M Y. Appreciate any help at this point.
