Question Getting "Fit to Screen" working on Mobile / Tablet?

Hi all,
New here, new to Elementor, and pretty new to WordPress... (This is like the first of many questions...)

I'm practicing by building and rebuilding my own site, and have run into a puzzle.

It's turnerdesign.com.

I'd like the home page to feature an image that fills the whole screen with a text block in the middle. I have it set up & working here, but once I go to table or mobile (especially in landscape format) it no longer works properly.

Is there a workaround for this?

I notice this, too, on mobile for a website I am building. When setting the section to fit to screen, it doesn’t fit to screen for mobile or tablet. Did you learn why?

Not exactly.
I don't remember how I handled it - but I can't get the text block to center vertically...

I'm actually just getting back to it, so hopefully I'll get it straightened out soon.
