cant put cropped thumbnail in media caroussel

i cropped a thumbnail to fit nicely media carousel pro elementor. Because my picture was not square i cut of to 1:1. In wordpress i can see the cropped thumbnail...but when i put it in the media caroussel elementor i can only see wrong thumbnail which is not the cropped one.
