Upload multiple templates in JSON format via REST API

Is there some api for uploading templates in JSON format or any other workaround, how to upload multiple templates? Actual problem is, that I am uploading more than 30 templates five-seven times per day from different accounts. This action takes plenty of time. I think it should be quite easy to automate something like this (to download/upload templates in JSON format). Or at least I would like to know, where those templates are physically stored. Can you help me pls? Is there some solution for this?
