Need to have logo overlap the menu area

Hello! First post here

I am new to Elementor. I setup a header for the navigation. I want to have the logo overlap the slider area below. Whenever I add padding or margins it just makes the header area larger. I want to constrain the menu box but have the logo extend over.

I did this in a couple of minutes using EM Pro due to the custom css option. I'll provide my example using EM Pro.

Added a section height to the selector of say 50px.

selector {
    height: 50px;
}

For the logo element, I gave this a z-index of 1.

Have to have a play around and add media queries as needed.
