Question Make pointer colour appear in Hex, not RGB?

Hi,

I have a customized colour as hover colour for the Nav pointer, and it uses those 2 vertical bars, one for colour and the other for intensity/opacity. I'd like to put this same shade in my colour picker for rapid access, but the Picker uses Hex, and the Nav pointer hover colour appears in RGB. Any suggestions?

Okay, I found an online resource (not allowed to post the link here) which gives a hex value ...

As I am not a designer, is there some advantage to using the RGB over the Hex in this case?
