Elementor editing page loads incredibly slowly

Hi there. My Elementor editing page loads really really slowly and keeps saying that the page is unresponsive. Any suggestions as to what I should do to correct this, please? Also I am trying to put affiliate links into my posts and I cannot see the links (banners) once they are saved. Help please?

If your affiliate links are code the editor will strip the code brackets, try using the html widget to add your code.
