In validating a website I created using WordPress/Elementor Free, I'm seeing a slew of informational messages such as "Trailing slash on void elements has no effect and interacts badly with unquoted attribute values" on statements in the <head> section; for example, <meta charset="UTF-8" />.
Given that the section in question is created (I assume) by the Elementor theme (Hello Elementor), it seems to me that if want to correct such messages, I have to go into the underlying code. I'm curious why, if the validator statement is accurate, Elementor would be generating non-compliant code.
Am I missing something here?
Thanks!
