Beginner needing help with Form checkboxes not showing correctly.

Hey all. I tried searching and have come up short. Sorry if it's been answered or so basic I should have already have solved!

I'm creating a form from within my Elementor premium theme. When I create a checkbox field the checkboxes have a black vertical line opposed to an empty box you can check off. I can't seem to find a setting to change this, but it doesn't look right.

Please let me know what I'm missing or any ideas.

How did you resolve it? I am also experiencing same.
