Add template > Insert does not seem to work

Hi,

I recently tried to add the Photography homepage template to my site. It took a few minutes for it to load (the screen showed "Loading" for a long time). It looks like some of the content was added but not all of it. I tried this several times with no luck. Can someone please tell me if I'm doing something wrong?

Also, when I load my site it seems to load slow.
