Question Ordered List 'types' not showing up in website (although working in editor)

If I want to change an OL from the default 1, 2, 3 'type' to say a, b, c, I can change the text editor Visual to Text and add in the HTML.
So in this case I add type="a" to the <ol> tag. This then shows up fine in the editor window when I revert to Visual. The list items are now all alphabetic rather than numeric.
I hit [update] and check the result . The display to the right still shows numbers not letters and the website itself still shows numbers.
The Elementor Text Editor window correctly shows an alphabetic list though whenever I go back to look.
Looks like a bug to me. Can anyone help?

@MichaelJLW at least your ordered list sort of works. I put in <ol type="a"> and I get a number. I'm not able to get the ordered list to work at all.

Could someone please help with the ordered list?

I came across this post earlier as I was experiencing the same problem and thought I'd share the solution for other Google searchers who ended up here like I did.

The solution was pretty simple, Elementor has a style that overrides the "type" attribute below:
HTML:
<ol type="a">

To get it to display lower case letters you have to use the style attribute too (fight fire with fire ;)). So if you style it like 've done below, it should change the numbers to lower case letters:
HTML:
<ol style="list-style-type: lower-alpha;">

Although I used lower case letters as an example, this should also work with other list types too.
