Elementor license purchased and activated but editor screen shows "Activate Your License..." message

This started recently after an attempt to update the plugin resulted in it breaking completely and the site locking me out and having to use recovery mode. After replacing the elementor and elementor pro plugins manually with the latest versions it sorted the site. But now I get this when I open the Elementor editor:

If I exit and go into the license section I see the following:

Then without clicking anything on this license page I go back and open the Elementor editor, the license warning is gone away.

Please help.
