change admin email address

I need to change my admin email address. I have tried to do this on the settings page. When I type in my new email address, it says that it must be confirmed. There is a note saying it will send a confirmation request to the new address. I never receive the request.
The old address will expire 31 December. What must I do?

You'll need to trace why the emails are not sending, weather that be validation problems or actual sending problems.

Install the email log plugin, if it shows the mail being sent out of wordpress when you do a rest, then you know that the issue maybe valiation at host/dns level instead. Alternatively you can go into your database via Phpmyadmin and change the admin address from there.

I am not sure what "email plugin" your refer to or how to access "Phpmyadmin", but I'll give it a try.
