Can't add a button at the bottom of an image which seems very basic

I don't seem to have a lot of the Elementor features I see on YouTube tutorials. I'm trying to add a button at the bottom of an image like in the screenshot from YT but when I try to do the same thing it will only add the button as another container and not under the image. Having a lot of trouble with simple stuff like this which makes me think I have a different version of Elementor - or am I just doing this wrong?
