Hoping this is the best place to ask about this, but I'm trying to find a plugin that will take an existing 5000x900px panoramic180-degree image and show it correctly in a WP site built with Elementor.
I have looked for days and tested several that claimed to work with 360 and 180 panoramas. One or two would show it somewhat as a panoramic image, but none I could get my hands on to test showed any way to stop at the left and right when you reach 180-degrees. I also tried some of the virtual tour 360-degree plugins, but I'm guessing they require an actual spherical 360 image since most of them distorted the image, squeezed it tall and narrow and totally unrealistic. There is one that worked well enough as a 'flat' panorama, just to slide side to side, but it would be preferable to have it actually look panoramic. If at all possible, I'm hoping to find something I can test and prove it does what I want before I buy a 'premium' or 'pro' version and hope it will. (e.g. some advertise the 180 possibility, but I've seen comments by users who say they could find no way to make it work.)
Fwiw, for years I had this working well in a Lightbox that somehow loaded a .swf file using this same image, and it looked very nice and realistically proportional when scrolled side to side. Unfortunately, a WP update crashed the old site I'm having to rebuild it from scratch with the new way of doing things. The old .swf method doesn't seem to be supported now, so with all the changes to WP in recent years I'm trying to start again with something that isn't going to crash in a year or two.
Thanks,
JT
